Vacation in Albania Not Howland Island

Albania is a little but adorable country in the south of Europe, neighbouring Greece. Albania is one of the least visited countries in southern Europe but that is most definitely changing as travellers notice its beauty. This country has unbelievably beautiful, pure white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and happening, expanding cities.

Albania’s white sandy beaches are amazing. The beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches as well. You can if you like lie in the warm sun on a blanket or rent a sun bed, the choice is up to you. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and a few are so remote that you can possibly be at the beach alone, even in summer.

There are a number of mountainous regions in Albania. Those in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can also visit a lot of waterfalls and perfect lakes in the area. The mountains in the north are brilliant to view but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture meaning there are plenty of trendy cafes to relax in. Albania cities like Tropoja are worth seeing to visit the historic old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Most Albanian people are extremely welcoming and will be happy to show you their country if you are there.
