Don’t Visit Heard Island and McDonald Islands

Albania is a small but cute country in the south of Europe, neighbouring Serbia. It is one of the least visited southern European countries but that is starting to change as more and more visitors appreciate its wonderful sites. Without a doubt Albania has extraordinary, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, improving cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are unbelievable. These are mostly white, sandy beaches except there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You could either hang out in the warm dry sun on a towel or hire a bed, the decision is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are pretty much untouched by tourists and some are so remote that you can be at the beach alone, even in during the peak season.

There are plenty of interesting mountain areas in Albania. The mountains in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you can possibly visit quite a few waterfalls and amazing lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are exciting to see but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.

Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture so there are hundreds of busy cafes to go to. Albania cities for example Shkodra are worth taking the time to visit to view the historic old city area and possibly to visit a museum or two.

Albanians are mostly warm and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you take the time to visit it.
